We installed 8 window heat pumps in our 5600sq’ home about 8 years ago after getting bids to upgrade our old system to the tune of 40K plus electrical upgrade costs. It is an old church/school building. It has been wonderful and very affordable, even to operate. We would do it all over again! ROI is the best!

I installed a 12,000 BTU Koldfront unit in an old farmhouse. The unit is NOT a heat pump. I was misled by ads and such. The unit contains a heat strip and is much more costly to use. I don’t think Koldfront has any units with heat pumps. The heat strip burned out on ours with less than 1 year of use. I won’t buy another. We had an LG 8000 unit with a heat pump and it worked well for 8 years in 2 different locations.

We installed a window heat pump unit in our garage because I run my business from there. The installation was very easy and it worked great this winter. Looking forward to seeing how it cools during the summer!
